The Harvard Kennedy School is inviting you to enroll in their online community organizing class, “Leadership, Organizing, and Action: Leading Change.” As the need for effective leadership in civic associations, advocacy groups, and social movements becomes more pressing, this course offers a unique opportunity for growth and impact.

Running from February 5th to May 31st, the 15-week program is currently open for applications until December 8th. Led by Marshall Ganz, this course is designed to equip participants with the skills necessary to identify, recruit, and develop leadership within their communities. The curriculum also focuses on building community around this leadership and translating community resources into the power needed to achieve collective goals.

The course adopts a hands-on approach, encouraging participants to take on leadership roles in real-life organizing projects. This practical application allows participants to hone their skills with a learning partner and engage in real-time interactions with fellow students, all facilitated by experienced teaching fellows.

“Our pedagogy is based on a ‘head, heart, and hands’ approach that links concepts, values, and practice in a highly interactive setting,” says Marshall Ganz, Rita E. Hauser Senior Lecturer in Leadership, Organizing, and Civil Society at Harvard Kennedy School.

Over the past 14 years, the course has seen 1609 alumni from 81 countries successfully complete the program. These alumni have made significant contributions to diverse fields, including education, healthcare, immigrant rights, gender equality, workers’ rights, and environmental justice.

If you’re ready to take on a leadership role and make a meaningful impact, don’t miss this opportunity. Applications are being accepted until December 8th. For detailed information on program dates, tuition, and curriculum, visit the Leadership, Organizing, and Action: Leading Change website.

Feel free to share this transformative opportunity with colleagues and friends who might be interested in becoming effective agents of change in their communities.
