This May, LCN is offering a FULL Community Organizing Coach Training Program Certificate (COCTPC)! Community Organizing coaches play a crucial role in passing on the craft to organizations, activists, and leaders in workshops and trainings. Our goal is to cascade Community Organizing & Public Narrative throughout values-based organizations to supercharge their change-making. We are aiming for a diverse global cohort who will use this craft to create impact in their organizations and communities. Are you in?

The Full COCTP Certificate offers 2 tracks that could be taken separately or consecutively

Information:

  • Date: Application due April 30th, 2024
  • Place: Online on Zoom

The Full COCTP Certificate offers 2 tracks that could be taken separately or consecutively

  1. COCTP 1|CSSRA: Coaching, Strategy, Structure, Relationships & Action (May 15-June 26)
  2. COCTP 2|PNCTP : Public Narrative Coach Training program (July 31 – September 18)

Over the course of 3 months, a cohort of 30 new coaches will train in the craft, content, and process of Community Organizing & Public Narrative coaching. We will take a deep dive into coaching the practices of: Relationships, stories of Self, Us, and Now, Strategy, Structure, Action, leadership coaching and the specific strategies and skills associated with coaching & facilitating each practice. Participants will get hours of practice, in both large and small groups, to try on these skills and hone their craft. This will also of course be a powerful opportunity to develop one’s own community organizing understanding in addition to coaching.

“The PNCTP has been a transformative experience, shaping me into a more empathetic and effective leader. It’s helped me understand my values, connect with my past, and use storytelling to inspire change. I now see myself as a facilitator of positive change, emphasizing collaboration and vulnerability. This program has equipped me to work confidently with refugee leaders, coaching them to share their own stories of hope and resilience. I’ve even incorporated these lessons into a new project, ‘Nurturing Refugee Leadership,’ using public narrative to empower others.” PNCTP 2023 Participant
