Obama Campaign plan for volunteers to run house meetings.
Our goal is to build an organization of local volunteer teams capable of identifying, persuading and turning out the votes we need to win. This type of aggressive field strategy requires strong, trained and tested local leadership. Your job is to develop/assist these leaders and give them additional tools and strategy necessary to build the organization capable of taking action. There are five steps to developing this leadership effectively:
- Identifying potential leaders.
- Recruiting these leaders into our campaign organization.
- Testing these potential leaders for responsibility, commitment and effectiveness through executing the tactics of the Phase II program.
- Training leaders in the strategy of the program and the skills they will need to take a leadership position on Election Day.
- Giving them specific responsibilities and goals.
