A guide about organizing, leadership, narrative in Swedish based on the works of Marshall Ganz.

Swedish – Målet med denna handbok

  • Förstärka vår organisation och utveckla det socialdemokratiska ledarskapet.
  • Lära dig att berätta din egen berättelse för att motivera och inspirera andra (berättelsen om MIG,
    OSS och NU).
  • Våra lokala föreningar och medlemmar ska kunna bilda team, utforma en lokal strategi och planera
    det lokala kampanjarbetet på ett effektivt sätt. På så sätt kan vi förändra vårt samhälle.

Du ska utveckla din förmåga att leda andra genom fem viktiga ledarskapsmetoder:

  1. Skapa en gemensam berättelse.
  2. Bygga upp gemensamma relationer.
  3. Bygga upp en gemensam teamstruktur.
  4. Skapa en gemensam strategi.
  5. Skapa en gemensam och mätbar handlingsplan.
  • Lära ut dessa metoder till socialdemokraternas ombudsmän, regionala och lokala valledare samt
    lokala samtalsledare.
  • Via dessa metoder lära ut organisering till fler som vill bidra till förändring.
  • Organisera fler människor, värva fler medlemmar och bygga en starkare folkrörelse.

I början av varje kapitel hittar du en ruta som innehåller viktiga insikter, nyckelbegrepp och kunskap som är viktiga för dig när du läser igenom kapitlet. Håll utkik efter insikterna så kommer du få med dig de viktigaste lärdomarna från denna handbok.
I slutet av varje kapitel finns det ett övningar. Målet med övningarna är att ge dig allt du behöver för att kunna coacha och utveckla ditt team.

English – The goal of this manual:

  • Strengthen organizations and develop the Social Democratic leadership.
  • Learn to tell your public narrative to motivate and inspire others based on Marshall Ganz Framework of Public Narrative (the story of Self, Us and Now).
  • Support our local associations and members must be able to form teams, design a local strategy and plan
    the local campaign work in an effective way, to change our society.

This guide will support you to develop your ability to lead others through five important leadership practices:

  1. Create a shared story.
  2. Building relationships.
  3. Build a team structure.
  4. Create a shared strategy.
  5. Create a shared and measurable action plan.
  • Teach these practices to the Social Democrats’ ombudsmen, regional and local election leaders as well local conversation leaders.
  • Through these practices, support teaching organizing to more people who want to contribute to change.
  • Organize more people, recruit more members and build a stronger popular movement.

At the beginning of each chapter you will find a box that contains important insights, key concepts and theoretical part that is important to you as you read through the chapter. Keep an eye out for these insights and you will get the most important ones the lessons learned from this manual.
At the end of each chapter there is an exercise to practice. The goal of the exercises is to give you everything you need to be able to coach and develop your team.
