Our New Digital Home

Our website has a refreshed look and feel. Here’s what we’ve updated, and why we built it this way.

This week, we officially launched our new website!

We’re deeply grateful to everyone who joined us across our two launch sessions to explore the site, share reflections, and navigate this moment together as a community.

Welcome! We’re glad you’re here

If you’re new here: welcome! We’re really glad you found us.

Take a look around. Learn more about us, explore our Resource Center, discover ways to get involved, and consider becoming a member! If you have questions, feel free to reach out to us.

This new website is just the beginning. We’re excited to keep building together.

Why a new website?

We rebuilt our website with the intention of making it easier for our community to get involved. The redesign was guided by these key priorities:

  • Stronger digital infrastructure: Back in 2021, when we developed our 2021-2025 strategy , one of our core priorities was building a strong digital infrastructure to support our growth. This new website represents the second iteration of that effort.
  • Clearer pathways for engagement: We framed the website from the user perspective–how the user can get involved–adding a Get Involved section with three main tracks: Master the Craft, Build People Power, and Connect with Community, plus a track finder tool for people who don’t know where to start.
  • Centering our people and community: Our website now better reflects our people, stories, and collective work that make this community what it is.
  • A renewed Resource Center: We reorganized and refreshed our Resource Center so that resources are easier to find, explore, and use, and members can interact using resources.
  • An exciting Membership Dashboard: We updated the Member Directory and Membership Engagement Dashboard to enable more connections among our members.

What’s new? Deep dive #1: Resource Center

You can now filter resources by:

  • Topics (e.g. gender, health)
  • Types (e.g. articles, books, videos)
  • Regions (e.g. Africa, Asia)
  • Practices (e.g. relationship building, strategy)
  • Access (public vs. member-only resources)
  • Who I am (e.g. I am new to organizing, I am a coach or trainer)
  • and Languages!

If you are a member, you can “favorite” a resource and filter by your favorite resources. (This feature will be available to non-members in the coming months.)

If you are a member, you can also comment on the resource, “like” the resource, and show that you “used the resource,” on each resource’s page. We are not a service organization but an organizing organization; we want to build relationships among our members through feedback, connections, and interactions around resources.

Please also check out the How to Use the Resource Center video, as well as the curated guides and Haruka’s picks on the landing page of the Resource Center.

What’s new? Deep dive #2: Membership Dashboard

When you log into your membership account and go into the dashboard, there will be an engagement dashboard that shows how many events you joined, how many resources you favorited, etc. This is still in the making, and will be ready for you in the next few months.

Below that, there is an expanded section on Connecting with Community, for us members to intentionally connect with each other. You can find information about our social media channels, as well as our member-led social media groups (e.g. WhatsApp groups for trainers, linked in groups for public narrative coaches). We are consciously trying to move from corporate-owned and secure social media like Facebook and X to people-owned social media such as Mastodon and Signal, and will keep you updated here.

In the Member Directory, you can find all the active members by name, country, or organization (“interest” filter coming soon). Make sure your profile is up-to-date, so other members can find you in the Directory.

Gratitude for the people behind the work

This launch wouldn’t have been possible without the many people who contributed their time, care, and expertise along the way! Especially Mash World, Yusuke, and our community members who generously shared feedback throughout the process.

If you’re one of them: thank you!
