We are thrilled to report back on one of the biggest LCN member-led initiatives: The Students for Palestine Organizing Series, launched on August 29, 2024! A dedicated core team of nine passionate organizers led an 8-week program designed to support students who are already actively campaigning on their campuses to organize more strategically in solidarity with the Palestinian struggle for liberation and justice. The series concept was developed in collaboration with student activists through a listening drive that identified their most pressing organizing needs.

We were humbled to receive more than 80 applications from around the world and proudly welcomed a cohort representing 30 campuses from 11 countries. The series concluded on October 24, with 57 students successfully completing the series.

The initiative engaged 20 volunteer trainers and coaches, as well as several guest speakers, all of whom delivered incredible and innovative sessions covering public narrative, relationship building, team formation, strategy and escalation, structure, and action, along with additional modules on negotiations and speaking truth to power.

Every Thursday, we gathered in a space that was both challenging and transformative. Participants and trainers alike came together with the weight of the genocide in their hearts. United by our shared values and vision for liberation, however, that weekly gathering turned pain into hope, inspiration, solidarity, and action. Putting our hearts, heads, and hands into work, campus-based teams rolled up their sleeves and developed their campaign game plan week by week. Participants left the series with clear objectives and skills on designing their actions on the ground to build collective power and achieve their campaign goals. More importantly, participants came into the series with their own teams and left with a connected global network of support and solidarity.
