Have you ever felt like the success of a campaign rests on your shoulders? Maybe you’ve spent night after night with your team figuring out your next move only to feel still stuck? Or you’ve finished your campaign, only to realize your people aren’t sure if it was a success. Running a campaign can be a magical process, and at the same time, it’s almost always messy, iterative, and notoriously uncertain.
Leading Change Network’s new Campaign Labs program aims to respond to the needs of frontline activists who are putting their bodies on the line, building coalitions, and running campaigns to confront the grim reality of polycrisis dominating our world.
Teams will get coaching and support for 6-12 months as they implement their campaigns as part of a community of grassroots leaders, moving towards their strategic goals.
And to do it right, we want to hear from you. We want to learn about all active or upcoming campaigns in our community so that we can map the change brewing in the world.
What is Campaign Labs? It’s where teams leading grassroots campaigns come together to strengthen and troubleshoot their work on the ground through deep engagement with community organizing practices to win change. Participating teams will be matched with experienced coaches and connected with other campaigns and experienced organizations in their region or issue area.
We’re calling on ALL organizers, activists, and campaigners to fill out this survey to tell us about your active (or upcoming) campaigns by February 25, 2025. Knowing what good trouble our community is up to will enable us to do a better job at building global people power that wins the day.
We’re also looking for coaches with campaign experience and the Marshall Ganz framework to join our movement! From authoritarians consolidating power to ecological uncertainty, this moment of polycrisis has us facing immense challenges. Now more than ever we need a strong ecosystem of organizers and coaches to build the power needed for real victories. We are calling on campaign coaches to join us in enabling more community leaders to take their organizing to the next level.
Participating coaches will contribute to the real progress of grassroots campaigns realizing a more just, sustainable and democratic world, develop their skills through a structured program, and receive a campaign coaching certificate.
If you’d like to learn more about the program and expected commitments and see if we have a grassroots team that you can be matched with:
