As the clock ticks the final minutes of this long and challenging year, and we are about to usher in the new year, we hope that you are ready to kick-start 2021 full of energy and determination to achieve the change you desire in your community and the world.
2020 has not been an easy year for the majority of us, especially those working with leaders championing for vital causes around the world. On the bright side, we have seen more people take lead during the COVID-19 pandemic to stand up for what they believe and organize for change on a broad spectrum of issues including climate, electoral campaigning, racial justice, gender, PWD rights, democracy, and labour rights.
The momentum and power created and shared by our members during 2020 have been nothing short of extraordinary and worth celebrating.
During the COVID-19 lockdown in many countries around the world, LCN organized a series of member-led Community of Practise sessions which amassed an unprecedented number of attendees and participants, which helped keep the community morale and strength at the highest levels, and at the same time keep everyone motivated and learning in order to make the change needed in our world.
At the end of 2020 – a year that will not be forgotten any time soon- LCN stands proud of not only its accomplishments throughout the year, but also of its members and partners who took leadership under conditions of uncertainty that yielded remarkable results.
LCN team would like to extend its warmest wishes to the amazing community who showed their resilience and agility during the difficult times, and continued their learning journey and amazing work to achieve their goals.
