Membership Guidelines

Mission:

a. Leading Change Network aims to foster social change through community engagement, grassroots organizing, and capacity building for movements that strengthen justice and support human rights.
b. Members are expected to actively support and uphold the mission of Leading Change Network.

Membership Eligibility:

a. Membership is open to individuals and organizations who share our organization’s vision and values, irrespective of race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, national origin, or any other protected status.
b. Leading Change Network reserves the right to deny Membership (or remove from membership) any individuals or organizations whose values do not align with our organization’s mission, or who do not follow our Membership Code of Conduct.

Membership Benefit:

a. Members will have access to exclusive resources, networking opportunities, and events organized by Leading Change Network.
b. The Leading Change Network Membership is not a governing Membership. While Members have no formal governing voting rights in our organization, Members are encouraged to actively contribute to the organization’s activities, volunteer for initiatives, and engage in collaborative efforts.

Termination of Membership:

a. Leading Change Network reserves the right to terminate a Member’s membership if they engage in conduct that violates the organization’s Membership Guidelines or Code of Conduct.
b. Termination may also occur in cases of non-payment of membership fees or if a Member’s actions are found to be detrimental to the mission and reputation of Leading Change Network.

Membership Code of Conduct

Upholding our Purpose and Values

Leading Change Network is a global community of organizers, practitioners, educators, and researchers dedicated to catalyzing change through the power of narratives, rooted in the pedagogy and practice of community organizing. As a member, you agree to uphold the following values:

a. Respect: Treat all community members with dignity, valuing diverse perspectives and fostering a culture of inclusivity.
b. Collaboration: Embrace a spirit of cooperation, actively engaging with others, and promoting the exchange of knowledge and experiences.
c. Integrity: Conduct yourself with honesty, transparency, and ethical behavior in all interactions within the community.
d. Empowerment: Support and empower individuals and communities, recognizing the transformative potential of narratives and community organizing.
e. Social Justice: Advocate for equity, fairness, and justice, challenging systems of oppression and working towards full human rights and positive societal change.

Member Conduct

As a member of LCN, you also agree to the following:

a. Respectful and Nondiscriminatory Behavior: Interact with fellow members in a respectful and professional manner, fostering a safe and welcoming environment free from discrimination on the basis of race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, national origin, or any other protected status, harassment, hate speech, or any form of harmful conduct.
b. Constructive Engagement: Engage in meaningful discussions, sharing insights, experiences, and knowledge while considering diverse perspectives.
c. Confidentiality: Respect the confidentiality of any sensitive information shared within the community and refrain from disclosing it without proper authorization.
d. Responsible Platform Usage: Use the LCN platform responsibly, refraining from any actions that may disrupt or harm the community or its Members.
e. Compliance with Laws and Regulations: Adhere to all applicable laws, regulations, and intellectual property rights when sharing content or engaging in activities within the community.

Reporting and Enforcement

LCN is committed to maintaining a safe and inclusive environment. If you witness any violations of the Membership guidelines or become aware of any concerning behavior, please report it promptly to whistleblowing@leadingchangenetwork.org.

Failure to comply with the Membership Code of Conduct may result in the cancellation of your membership and revocation of member access to Leading Change Network. The decision to cancel a membership will be made by Leading Change Network in its sole discretion.

By subscribing to Leading Change Network, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to abide by these Membership Guidelines, including this Membership Code of Conduct. You affirm your commitment to upholding the values and principles that guide this community and actively contributing to the collective efforts in catalyzing positive change through narratives and community organizing.
