LCN Australia Launches Community of Practice

A new learning space for organisers across Australia and the nearby timezones in Asia-Pacific has launched.

Last week, LCN Australia officially launched its Community of Practice, bringing together 76 organisers from across Australia and the surrounding region for its first gathering.

This initiative is part of LCN’s initiative to increase accessibility to our learning spaces and opportunities for our community members in Australia and the nearby timezones in Asia-Pacific in 2026.

The session combined inspiration, connection, and practice, beginning with insights from Leena Sudano from Rising Tide on how relational organising is used to grow a movement, bring more people into action, and develop leadership. Participants then connected with organisers working across different issues in Australia through breakout rooms conversations, and practiced holding relational 1:1 conversations with one another. The LCN Australia team closed the session by sharing LCN Australia’s Community of Practice plans for 2026 and exploring ways to help shape what comes next.

We’re excited to see the LCN Australia Community of Practice continue to grow as a space for shared learning, relationship-building, and collective action across the region.
