She has been working in the social development sector for over a decade on gender, sexuality, sexual and reproductive health rights (SRHR), learning more on mental health and their intersections. A breakthrough in her leadership journey was when she co-led and won the campaign Health Over Stigma as part of Haiyya in 2019 with the community of young unmarried women by shifting accountability to gynaecologists for stigma-free SRHR services. Sreejani is a core team member of the Organizers for Health Justice- a collective of organizers that works globally on strengthening leadership for leading real on ground health justice campaigns. She is trained in the Leadership, Organizing, Action (LOA) course from the Harvard Kennedy School. In her work on mental health, she focuses on the leadership practices rooted in stories and relational power in radicalising care and challenging stigma. She completed the Train the Trainers Program by the Leading Change Network (LCN) in 2022 and has been training and coaching youth leaders and health justice activists nationally and globally for over six years.
