Localizing organizing: Lessons from AktivAsia Korea
How do we localize and contextualize the organizing guide and workshop to a new language and a new country?
Join us on September 25th at 4pm KST (Korea time) to learn about AktivAsia Korea’s journey on translating the guide to Korean and holding its first organizing workshop in Seoul in July.
We will be joined by speakers Jihun Jang (Korea Program Manager, AktivAsia) and Yeti Khim (Harvard Kennedy/MIT Sloan), who led this initiative, as well as have the opportunity to hear directly from leaders on the ground who joined the workshop and are now applying the framework to practice.
The event will feature a mix of presentations in Korean and English, with simultaneous translation between English and Korean. During breakout room discussions, you will be invited to join a room in your preferred language. All who are interested in seeding and spreading organizing in their own communities are welcome!
