What others are saying about this training
Not only did This workshop enhance my organizing but also expanded my network, connecting me with like-minded individuals passionate about community improvement. I highly recommend it to anyone eager to learn about community organizing and committed to making a difference.
This workshop is great for experienced organizers and newbies alike to refine their skills and find community through an immersive and intensive skill-building experience.
What you will learn
Using the community organizing framework developed by Marshall Ganz & LCN practitioners, this workshop provides a quick dive & understanding of how to build collective agency & people power to scale campaigns and institutions. You will learn the five leadership practices of
- Public narrative & Storytelling
- Building relationships
- Structuring leadership teams
- Strategizing
- Action
We also offer a module on Coaching to enable the agency of leaders to find resources and solutions to head, heart and hands challenges.

Who should apply
Whether you’re a civic association, union, advocacy group, social movement, nonprofit/ NGO executives or a grassroots community campaign, this comprehensive Community Organizing workshop is designed for your team! We also welcome applications from individual leaders who are serious about moving people to collective action, however priority will be given to groups of 5 or 6 participants applying together.
Learning style
This is an intensive hands-on practice with limited available workshop seats! Participants are guided by a skilled Community Organizing coach in small breakout rooms during the workshop to get real-time feedback on their practice.
