Union Organizers: Are We Practicing the Practices?
This month, LCN’s Workers Movement Group will explore the tensions between traditional worker organizing and the five practices of leadership-based organizing.
Flannery Hauck, Organizer at SEIU-UHW in California, will draw on recent campaigns to talk about the obstacles and opportunities of transforming an organizing committee into a snowflake, focusing on quality instead of quantity to get to scale, and the unique role paid union organizers play in our work.
